Education in L.A: The Public Square Lecture Series

If you’ve downloaded EMVY’s podcast on public education in California and listened to it on repeat waiting for your opportunity to weigh in on the discussion then here’s your chance. Zocalo Public Square, a L.A.-based non-profit promoting civic discourse, is hosting a panel on the rise and fall of California’s higher education system at the National Center for the Preservation of Democracy on Wednesday, June 3rd at 7:30pm. Zocalo has composed a panel of speakers who research and implement programs to give Californians access to public institutions in hopes of generating a dialogue that can inspire a way to bring California’s higher education back into the spotlight as one of the country’s best higher education systems.

For those of you concerned about the future of friends or family having access to high quality public education as well as funding for attending these universities through the Cal Grants program and other scholarship organizations than this is an event you won’t want to miss.

Speak out and be heard.
